Advanced Short-Courses:
Final planning is underway for selected topics. Further announcements will be made soon.
Introductory Course:
The 4-month, evening training course is designed to be the "boot camp" for the environmental field in the Houston, Texas area. The course provides technical training for those scientists, engineers, and other individuals wishing to establish or improve technical skills in: environmental regulations, site characterizations, investigations, and clean-up programs. The course was designed for individuals who have decided on a career change and are "refugees" from the oil & gas industry, aerospace industry, and other industries experiencing corporate downsizing and reorganization. Other highly-motivated individuals have also gained substantially from this course; however, a college education is a suggested prerequisite.
The course has been presented since Fall, 1992. Almost 400 men and women have graduated from the program, most of whom have improved their positions or have found employment in the environmental field, even under the present uncertainties in Washington, D.C. concerning the environment.
