Advanced Short Course Announcement

Advanced Courses For IET Graduates and Others:

Advanced courses are designed for graduates of the IET program and for members of the local Houston environmental community. The courses concentrate on topics introduced during IET's Introduction to Environmental Technology course. They will be offered in 3- to 5-day evening formats with Saturday and Sunday being considered for special "Weekend Training Courses". The course topics presently under consideration are:

Advanced Environmental Chemistry
Advanced Environmental Regulations: Federal & State
Advanced Environmental Geology
Advanced Environmental Hydrogeology
Advanced Environmental Geophysics
Advanced Remediation Design*

* by specific topic, such as:
Soil Vapor Extraction, Pump-and-Treat Programs,
and many other remediation techniques of present interest.

Course for Attorneys and Legal Staff:

A 4-week, evening course is being designed by IET to meet the needs of the legal profession in pursuing environmental litigation. The course will cover technical topics similiar to that covered in the well-known course: Introduction to Environmental Technology but topics of interest to the legal profession will be emphasized. Details of the new training program entitled: Environmental Science and Engineering for Attorneys, will be announced soon.

Special Educational Seminars for Municipal Utility District Personnel, Consultants, and Contractors:
