Institute Activities

In addition to training, the IET also undertakes a variety of other tasks including special research investigations and seminars in and around the Houston, Texas area as well as environmental product evaluations throughout the U.S. These investigations and evaluations are designed to provide the public with factual, relevant technical information on selected environmental issues and products. Like the IET training program, these investigations and evaluations are undertaken by members of the IET via funding provided by industry or other sources.

Sponsored Research in the Geosciences

In an effort to provide technical support to the nearly 400 graduates of the IET program in the Houston, Texas area and elsewhere, IET, with the continued support of the Environmental Litigation Associates, fosters research in a number of areas consistent with the goals of the initial IET program.
