Information on: Water Well Technology

The text, Water Well Technology, was first published in 1973 and had 12 printings over 14 years with a distribution of more than 40,000 copies worldwide. It was the first systematic study of water well technology and of the growing environmental concerns of the day. The authors received the prestigious Ohioana Book Award in 1975, click (here).

A copy of the text's original dust cover and fly cover containing a description of the text and a few of the early reviews have been included below for the reader's inspection. Additional information can be reviewed concerning the senior author (via M. D. Campbell and Associates, L.P.) and his consulting practice serving the ground-water supply field (1), the environmental field (2), the mining field (3), and the legal community; see a review of selected, recent cases(4). For Mr. Campbell's other publications and presentations, click here.

The text's cover, flap containing early reviews, table of contents, the first two chapters and other selected pages have been included in a PDF file; click (here). Although now dated, the text provides a baseline for the time; many of the recomendations have long since been addressed, but others have not and await attention.

If you can not find a copy of the text in either a local library or via Amazon.com , feel free to contact us via e-mail (see bottom of this page) and we will make copies of any chapter you wish, including the annotated bibliography. The cost is 20 cents/page, plus mailing. This will assist in defraying the cost of the IET library's operation and maintenance. Also, used copies are available through Alibris (here).

The original dust is shown below:
