Graduates
of the IET program are awarded certificates to testify that they
have passed the four-month training program and the OSHA 40-HR Hazwoper
Certificate. (When graduates search for employment in the environmental
field, they usually include the fact they have undertaken such training
by including a summary of the course in their resumes.)

Because only
the graduates who have taken the course can judge its value, a list
of selected graduates is presented as references.
The make-up of the class since the beginning is illustrated in the figure
below. Of note is the decline in participation of those with geology
degrees compared to the increase of those with engineering and other
degrees. The cause of this trend cannot be established with certainty
but probably has to do with the oil & gas company tendency to
layoff exploration people first, which would primarily include geologists
and geophysicists, followed by engineers related to production.
The following
list of IET graduates confirms they have graduated from the IET
program. NOTE:
the addresses presented in the list were given at the time the student
registered for the course; many of the graduates have moved to other
cities to build their careers in the environmental and related fields.
