EXPERIENCE SUMMARY

Manager responsible for coordination of personnel and resources in day-to-day project activities: preparation and monitoring of project budgets and review of project correspondence and reports. Geologist responsible for geologic and hydrogeologic investigations involving soil sampling; exploratory boring and well installation, development, sampling and monitoring; supervision of drilling crews and other contractors in the field. Responsible for data acquisition and analysis as well as report preparation. Performed geologic assessments at hazardous waste, underground storage tank, and Superfund sites. Five years experience in petroleum exploration and production.

KEY PROJECTS

Responsible for approximately 50 concurrently active underground storage tank, bulk terminal, pipeline terminal, hazardous waste, and other projects.

Coordinated manpower, equipment, and subcontractors, reviewed reports and analytical data to provide quality control, monitored project budget status and acted as primary client contact for on-going projects.

Supervised Risk-based Corrective Action evaluations at a major oil company's petroleum storage tank facilities in Texas.

Provided feedback to client and state regulatory agency regarding initial implementation of RBCA program.

In charge of site characterization, assessment and remediation of hydrocarbon plumes at over 40 retail, bulk terminal and refinery facilities in Texas, Arkansas, Louisiana, Oklahoma, Mexico and Puerto Rico. Duties included initial site visits, background checks and coordination of field activities; supervision of boring and well installation; soil and water sampling; evaluation of stratigraphic, hydrogeologic and chemical analytical data; report preparation; and interaction with regulatory agencies, when required.

Supervised emergency remediation project in Guadalajara, Mexico. Project involved rapid response in designing, procuring equipment, installing, testing, and operating a 1,200 gpm pump-and-treat system with a co-located 900 scfm soil vapor extraction network. The system was installed and running within three weeks. The project was successfully completed in approximately five months.

Managed installation of hydrocarbon remediation system in east central Mexico.
