By and large, the student body consists
of "refugees" from the oil and gas, aerospace
and other industries who have experienced downsizing
or reorganization as well as those who come from the environmental
field wanting to broaden their breadth of knowledge and
experience in multi-disciplinary subjects encountered
in the environmental industry.
With almost 400 alumni to date, IET personnel from local consulting companies have helped many graduates find meaningful employment or improve their positions
in the environmental field or associated industries in Texas and in other areas of the U.S..

Part of the main course
is Hazwoper Certification which complies with the requirements
established by OSHA set forth by federal and state HAZWOPER
regulations (29 CFR 1910.120 and 8 CCR 5192).

IET will present
the Introductory and Advanced Training Courses throughout
the country as the need arises. Because the
IET program is a limited-revenue project, a minimum enrollment
is required to cover course costs, travel, etc.

The
federal government has some funds available each fiscal
year for training qualified unemployed individuals via
its Title III Dislocated Worker and similar State Programs.

The
amount of useful information available in this area
is substantial. Useful technical information is increasing
