EXPERIENCE SUMMARY
Over 40 years of broad-based experience in environmental geology, hydrogeology, ground-water flow, transport, and geochemical modeling, natural resource management, university teaching at graduate and undergraduate level, management and supervision of large technical groups, contract negotiation and natural resource economics. Specialization in CERCLA and RCRA-driven projects in large industrial sites and mining districts.
1995 - 1996 DuPont Environmental Remediation Services, Houston,
Texas, Senior Principal Geologist,
DuPont representative on large superfund technical committee. Technical
lead on major ground-water assessment of a large petrochemical plant in
Louisiana. Strategic reviewer of technical reports. Member of DuPont Corporate
Superfund Steering Committee.
1991 - 1995 DuPont Environmental Remediation Services, Houston,
Texas, Manager of Geology Section,
Managed 20+ employees during implementation of numerous environmental programs
including RFIs, VIs, CSIs, pre-transaction assessments, modeling studies,
etc.
1989 - 1991 Envirocorp Services & Technology, Inc,. Houston, Texas, Director of Geology and Ground Water. Participated in projects in all Envirocorp offices relating to ground-water supply, ground-water contamination and remediation, flow and transport computer modeling, environmental assessments and audits, and underground storage tank removal and remediation.

1983 - 1988 Campbell, Foss, and Buchanan, Inc,. Houston, Texas,
Chairman of the Board, Vice President, and Senior Partner.
Firm engaged in domestic and international natural resource management
involving all phases of mineral and petroleum exploration, mining economics
and analyses, and ground-water evaluation. Investigations included: exploration
programs, reserve analyses, appraisals and acquisitions for the mining,
financial, industrial, and banking communities.
1986 - 1988 Norse Windfall Mines, Inc. Eureka, Nevada, Principal Consultant to management team that initiated project development, arranged project financing for gold and silver mining and heap-leach extraction, and managed multiple mine-central mill project. Specific activities included: 1) chief financial and operations officer, 2) primary negotiator for lease acquisitions, 3) chief administrator for mine development and production, and 4) representative of project manager on joint-venture management committee.
1978 - 1983 Watts, Griffis and McOuat, Inc. Houston, Texas, President U.S. subsidiary of Canadian mining consulting group. Member of boards of U.S. and Canadian corporations. Responsible for activities within the U.S. and management of major mineral exploration programs in New Mexico, Arizona, Colorado, California, Nevada, South Dakota, Georgia, and Mexico.
1970 - 1978 General Crude Oil Company, Division International Paper Corporation, Houston, Texas, Manager of Mineral Exploration Responsible for planning, contract negotiations, supervision and evaluation of major mineral exploration programs within the U.S. and overseas. Major mineral discoveries were made in Alaska. Other overseas projects administered were located in Australia, Jamaica, Bolivia, and Canada. Provided consultation to other departments concerning alternate energy resources such as coal-lignite, oil shale, and geothermal energy.
1963 - 1970 National Aeronautics and Space Administration, Manned Spacecraft Center, Houston, Texas, Chief, Geology and Geochemistry Branch of the Science Directorate Participated in the early design and testing of lunar equipment and exploration techniques. Responsible for the design and implementation of the astronaut field training program. Related responsibilities included lunar mission development, provision of physical science support on design and construction of the Lunar Receiving Laboratory. Also responsible for press relations, implementation of geochemical laboratory, and administration of large interdisciplinary team of scientists and outside contractors.
1959 - 1963 Lamar State College of Technology Beaumont, Texas, Assistant Professor; Responsible for teaching numerous geology courses and field camp.
1959 - 1960 Shell Oil Company (Summers), Billings, Montana, Field Geologist; Conducted geological mapping in central and western Montana.
1957 U.S. Geological Survey (Summer), Denver, Colorado, Field Geologist; Conducted geological mapping of the Ouray Quadrangle, San Juan Mountains, Colorado.
